Services for Boiler and Combustion Controls
I and C Service's combustion testing procedures give you comprehensive readouts on the function of any boiler installation.
As you know, without accurate combustion information, it's difficult to operate any type of boiler facility efficiently. For instance, analysis of flue gases shows the percentage of oxygen, nitrogen or raw fuel being vented out the stack. Excess oxygen carries with it inert nitrogen, which in turn carries heat energy out the stack instead of leaving it at the boiler.
A fuel-rich mixture, on the other hand, sends unburned fuel out the stack, dramatically effecting fuel economy and increasing atmospheric pollution.
The perfect fuel-to-air balance desired by knowledgeable boiler operators is achieved with proper periodic calibration and adjustment of the combustion controls. This type of procedure serves to assure clean, efficient boiler operation.
I and C Service's routine maintenance program is particularly important for automatic "oxygen trim systems." For this type of system to operate properly it is imperative that it accurately analyses exhaust gases so that the appropriate fuel-to-air ratio adjustments can be made automatically by the system.
With professional maintenance and periodic calibration of metering equipment, these automatic systems can give many years of efficient, trouble-free operation.
